Adam Turner was once a missionary for the Mormon Church. That’s not a metaphor, he was literally walking around with a badge that said “Elder Turner” trying to indoctrinate the masses, one unwelcome door-knock at a time. Think “Sister Wife” but with less sex and way more randoms telling you to “p*ss off”. Eventually, the way he’d been told the world worked didn’t square with the actual world and Adam lost his faith… along with his entire community and his marriage.

Life unravelled and in the past decade or so he’s slowly built himself back up with ungodly amounts of coffee, alcohol, drugs & porn. Now he thinks it’s time he caught up with Elder Turner for a “companionship inventory” to see if they can figure it all out. The show is mostly finished, but Adam himself is a work in progress.
