Faking It

Adele Parkinson, once heralded as a rising star of the musical theatre, debuts her rollicking solo show “Faking It”. Expect singing, storytelling, delightfully conceited characters, sexy/bizarre dancing… did we mention singing?

Adele Parkinson is recognisable to Australian audiences from her roles in professional productions of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert; Legally Blonde The Musical; Les Misérables, and Frozen The Musical. Ironically, despite completing classical acting training at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, and being an alumnus of L’Ecole Gaulier in Paris, Adele considers herself a “school of hard knocks” actor. Adele attributes her impressive skill to early experiences performing in a scare attraction, where she received regular blows to the head from terrified patrons; as a children’s entertainer, singing “Let It Go” multiple times every weekend often while being kicked in the shins; and during her now infamous portrayal of T-Rex 2, the horny, transitioning Tyrannosaurus in Triassic Parq The Musical, who serenades with a tune entitled “Dick Fix” whilst wearing a huge, silicone willy that was also black for some reason.

In addition to her work in theatre, Adele has two psychology degrees which she makes fantastic use of on front-row audience members. Thanks and apologies in advance. No refunds.
